Radio

todayyesterdaybbc.gifToday and Yesterday is the BBC’s longest running radio series for children in Northern Ireland.

Broadcasting every Tuesday morning to students aged 9 to 11 years, this series follows the Northern Ireland Curriculum to teach kids about the world around them.

For Today and Yesterday, I wrote John Joly: Master of Light, a 20 minute radio play profiling the inventions of John Joly, a nineteenth century pioneer of colour photography. Through Joly’s experiments, young listeners were introduced to three key properties of light: reflection, refraction and transparency.
