A United Force

A United ForceThe year is 55 BC and the Celts rule the British Isles. But for how much longer?

When two young Celts, Niall and Ronan, spy Roman ships anchored off the coast of their island home, they know that the fate of their people rests in their hands. Led by a young Julius Caesar, the Romans are determined to conquer this new land. Can Niall and Ronan warn the Celt chiefs before it’s too late?

It’s a well known fact that the Romans conquered Britain and stayed there four hundred years. But what is often forgotten is Julius Caesar’s failed attempt to conquer the island. A combination of bad planning, bad weather and a united force of Celt warriors sent the Romans packing.

A United Force is a historical graphic novel that takes readers back to Julius Caesar’s first invasion of what is now Britain. As a part of Scholastic’s Timeline Series of graphic novels.

A United Force combines historical fiction with fact, to take readers age 8 – 14 years back in time for adventure and learning that ties into school curricula across North America.
