Ganked-drop-shadow2525-500WSeptember is always a busy time for teachers and when add publishing a book to that mix, things get hectic. But fun.

A lot of fun.

Earlier, I posted about creating the cover for Ganked and what I learned about creativity. Now that the cover is done, I thought I was ready to unleash Ganked onto the world. But then I took a step back and waited. And am I ever glad I did.

There were mistakes. Lots of them.

Nevermind that I’d read the manuscript a bazillion times and wrote the thing, it was still packed full of silly mistakes. Characters names were still wrong, words were still missing and the punctuation was a mess. And this is after I’d given the thing a very close read!

Thankfully, my eyes aren’t the only ones checking for mistakes. I’m working with the amazing Allister Thompson who has already helped shaped the story and currently on the look out for any persistent typos. They will be squashed for the ebook launch on October 18th, 2013.

You don’t have to wait until October to get started on Ganked. Check out the preview of Ganked on Smashwords and if you’re so inclined, pre-order it in any of the ebook formats listed here.

Of course, you are free to do neither. I’ll keep writing and having fun.
