Back from another Max Finder Roadshow

I can’t believe I totally forgot to post that I was hitting the road to talk comics last Thursday and Friday. But I did (forget) and I did (hit the road) and now I feel dumb (because I forgot - did I mention I forgot?)

Thanks to the amazing Andrea at the Whitby Public Library, I was invited to meet with young comic fans and give my presentation: Between the Panels: How Comics are Made as part of their March Break activities.

On Thursday, I visited the Ajax Public Library in the morning and the Petticoat Creek Branch in Pickering in the afternoon. Friday saw me heading to Whitby, where I gave my talk and enjoyed a great pizza lunch with some young readers before heading out to my final stop on the tour: the Clarington Public Library in Bowmanville.

And I have to send out a very special thanks to Trevor, the coordinator of children’s services at the Clarington branch for helping get my car unstuck from a very snowy situation. Me and cars are never a good mix and I was just happy there was a super librarian like Trevor around to give me a hand. Thanks Trevor!

And thanks to all the kids who came out to learn about comics. It was great to meet you all!
