Quill & Quire likes Max

The December issue of Quill and Quire features a very nice review of Max Finder Mystery Collected Casebook Volume 1. Here are some of the highlights:

Update: Read the whole Max Finder Mystery review online at quillandquire.com.

The storylines contain elements of pre-teen experience that readers can relate to: school fundraising, dances, sports, bullying and fitting in, while the characters reflect the diverse ethnic backgrounds of Canadian schoolchildren.

And:

“In addition to appealing to amateur sleuths, these graphic mysteries offer reluctant readers short, manageable reads within an inviting comic-book format.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself! Pick up (or check out in the library, as I usually do) the latest issue of Q&Q to read the rest of the review and a great article on fellow blogger Ami Mckay’s rapid rise to CanLit stardom (way to go Ami!)

Max Finder Mystery Collected Casebook Vol. 1 is available in bookstores across Canada and online everywhere and it makes a great holiday gift for the youth sleuth in your life.
