New publishers and projects for May

May is moving swiftly along and much is happening around here. To start things off, I'm working on two new comic projects with Pearson Educational, publishers of fine educational books for students around the world.

The comic strips will appear in upcoming textbooks, which is pretty cool because when I was a kid I often wondered who the heck wrote the little stories and drew the little cartoons that so desperately tried to convince us that learning about quadratic equations or transitive verbs was actually fun. (If you're a student reading this, please disregard that last bit - learning is fun!)

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of visiting C.E. Broughton school in Whitby Ontario, to talk to students and parents about making comics. It was all part of their Author's Night and from the standing room only crowd in the library, the whole evening was a success. You can read more about my visit to C.E. Broughton on my blog.

Much more is happening this May, but it's time I get back to work and do some writing!
