New Year, New Max Projects

2006 is here and so is a whole bunch of new writing projects and news.

Graphic Novel Science

I'm just getting started on a new series of science graphic novels for Capstone Press. The books will be part of their Graphic Library series and promises to be a lot of fun. I'll have more on that in the coming weeks.

Special Edition Max Finder Mystery

The biggest news around here is definitely the Max Finder Mystery double-whammy of projects. Whammy number one: the latest issue of OWL Magazine has a special, longer, comic book pull-out edition of Max Finder Mystery. With great cover art and splash pages by Michael Cho, this special edition gives Max and Alison a bigger mystery to solve and some exclusive character sketches. Pick up OWL magazine at your local bookstore or magazine shop.

Max Finder Book Series

If you can't find OWL, don't worry because whammy number two will solve that problem. The pre-teen detective duo of Max and Alison are leaving the magazine pages and getting a book series of their very own. This fall, the Max Finder Collected Casebook Volume 1 will hit bookstores across the country and introduce Max and Alison to a whole new audience. We're planning 3 volumes in the series, but the final details of the books are still being hammered out. Watch for ten of the best Max mysteries, plus puzzles and behind-the-scenes extras in volume 1 in Fall 2006. I'll have more details on that as they happen.

In the meantime, you can read an older Max Finder Mystery on this site or check out a newer Max mystery over at owlkids.com.
